A1Guitar.com is a publication about guitar gear. We collect as little information about you as we can get away with. This page explains what does get collected and why.
What we collect directly
Nothing, by default. Reading this site requires no account and no personal information. If you email us, we see your email address and use it to reply; we don't add you to any list you didn't ask to join.
Advertising
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses information from sites like this one at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Third-party vendors' use of cookies for ad serving is subject to their own privacy policies.
Embedded content
Some articles embed content from other platforms (for example Facebook or Vimeo videos). Those embeds behave as if you visited the platform directly, including any cookies that platform sets. Their privacy policies apply to their embeds.
Hosting logs
Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and operations. We don't use them to identify readers.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser, use an ad blocker (we'd rather you didn't, it keeps the site free, but we understand), and opt out of ad personalization via the Google link above.
